Jurij has been an executive member of the former Parkdale-High Park PC Riding Association, and he has participated as an executive of other provincial and federal riding associations.  

As a business owner and an executive in the arena of diversity television, Jurij has traveled around the world and gained a global perspective on the issues facing Canada. He is the founder and president of the annual Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival, and a dedicated promoter of community events and fund raisers. 

Jurij and his wife, Evhenia, are happily raising four children, aged 6 to 20.
